My life has always been about change. This started at the age of 13 when my family moved to the UK. Whilst learning a new language, meeting new people and adopting a new culture was very tough at the time, it was incredibly fulfilling too. The second substantial phase of change came with my career move from a successful decade in research, to the business world. After two decades of delivering successful projects and programmes, my third period of change is now underway. Transforming Entec Si into what it is today and to its future potential is an all-consuming and very rewarding challenge. I thrive on seeing our team develop and grow whilst delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

Moving into information technology from university shaped my career and a future move into the world of projects. I have always loved the cut and thrust of project life, creating something from scratch, shaping it and then the reward of succeeding. Following a successful and formative few years in IT working across medium to large private sector companies Entec Si came to be and has become an important part of my life. Today after over 20 years in business I am still totally committed to delivering a quality service to our clients and growing Entec Si into something significant. What is it that motivates me: achievement, working with others, delivering success and staying enthusiastic whatever the challenge?

Organisational change: where people, processes and tools collide; I enjoy understanding what change an organisation wants and helping to achieve it. I am naturally a project person. I love the journey: understanding, designing and delivering. The highs are obvious – going live, seeing benefits realised – but, inevitably, there are hard yards to be put in too. I have primarily worked in smaller companies – I have 3 start-ups under my belt – but I tended to work with the big corporates. I’ve had a good stint with a major business process outsourcer and this has shown me that I like the small and nimble more than the mighty behemoth.

I began my career working with a dedicated consultancy team, specialising in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and ICT. From there I naturally progressed into project management and developed a track record for successful delivery and implementation. My solid technical background has enabled me to engage on a number of levels and effectively understand and manage a wide variety of ICT projects throughout their life cycle. I have always enjoyed providing innovative solutions to people and businesses. Working on the Library of Birmingham Transformation and ICT Programme I managed several high profile projects. Since then, I have moved into Programme Management, most recently working with the London Borough of Croydon and Birmingham Airport Ltd.

Project management, relationship building and organisational strengthening have all been key features of my work in international development over the past 14 years. I have enjoyed working with a diverse range of stakeholders in the UK, as well as further afield in Africa and Asia, and have procured funding and managed projects for the likes of USAID, DfID, Comic Relief and Deutsche Bank. I was drawn by its core values and culture, and ultimately, by the company’s mission of developing and delivering organisational and people change to strengthen organisations; a very similar ethos to my past work.

I first discovered an interest in project management whilst on a work placement in Bristol City Council’s City Innovation Department several years ago. I immediately felt I had found the career for me and decided I was going to gain as much experience and knowledge as I could. I stayed with the team for five years and progressed into a Project Support Officer role. Eventually it was time to move onto the next step of my career path and I was lucky enough to join Entec Si as a Project Coordinator in April 2018. I was attracted to the company’s core values and hope to work towards my goal of becoming a Project Manager with the company in the future.

Graduating in Business Studies with a background in business administration I moved into IT project delivery in 2000. I have gained considerable experience across many different business areas and have performed a range of different roles, including Project Management, Business Analysis, PMO and Business Support.
One of the high points of my career was the Library of Birmingham Project, where I successfully managed the Programme Management Office for the Transformation & ICT Programme for the full 5 years of the programme.
This experience has provided me with a valuable, well-rounded understanding of what is required for successful project delivery. I enjoy the structured approach, the focus on quality and attention to detail, and of course the satisfaction of achieving project success!

Starting my career in local government at Birmingham City Council after graduating in Business, Finance and Public Administration, provided me with the platform for moving into a job that I love. Project management is not for the faint hearted, but I love a challenge. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the fruits of your labour. I worked for several years delivering business critical change, including a pioneering Planning Enquiry Centre, providing a first point of contact service for all planning customers. This in turn led onto larger national projects like the Planning and Regulatory Services Online Government project (PARSOL). No two days are the same, working for Entec Si as a Project Manager. I love working with people and being able to provide support and share knowledge. I understand that change is important and therefore I work hard to deliver success in sometimes very challenging situations.

My journey towards a career in project management began during my studies at the University of Kent. A lot of the skills I was developing at that time could be applicable to the world of project management. After University, I joined HMPO as a Project Manager. I managed a wealth of different projects, mainly focussing on ICT delivery ranging from Exchange migrations, bespoke application re-designs and even an office relocation. I developed my skills and gained professional qualifications including Prince 2. I joined Entec Si in September 2016 eager to build on my skills and experience. The constant challenge, problem solving and ability to meet and build relationships with a range of organisations are my motivation for managing projects.

I joined Entec Si in 2020, with 25+ years’ experience running a multi-million traded service as an experienced Business Manager building on the skills of my BA (hons) degree. I am an experienced PRINCE2 practitioner and I have managed a series of multi-million technical and business change programmes including a full transformation programme implementing a SAP ERP solution across a user base of 25,000 staff, employee/manager self-service and a website implementation. I am driven by the ability to achieve successful business outcomes and benefit from practical real-world experience of change management in a complex local government environment.

After graduating from university, I specialised in the area property development law, working as a project co-ordinator. This experience provided me with many transferable skills required for successful project management, including effective communication and organisational skills. I joined Entec Si in a Project Support role in early 2016. I was attracted by the culture of the company and the opportunity to work on a wide range of fast paced and exciting programmes and projects. During my time at Entec Si I have been involved in various ICT and Business Change projects and programmes, in both the private and public sectors. My long-term ambition is to become a Programme Manager at Entec Si, building on my existing skill-set and by continuing to gain valuable experience.

In 2015, I earned my degree in Business Computing and started my career as a Business Analyst for a software development company. This opportunity taught me a lot and provided me with experiences that helped shape me as a Business Analyst. During my time as a Business Analyst I have been fortunate and have experienced many different aspects including, requirements gathering and workshops, workflow designing and modelling, database investigations, as well as gaining BCS Business Analysis Practice certification. I joined Entec Si as the company’s values were in line with mine and how I work. On top of this, the whole team are working together to achieve the same goal and I wanted to take the opportunity to be a part of that.

Upon graduating from university with a degree in Management and Marketing I embarked upon a career in project management within the market research industry. I realised that I was well suited to this role and I really enjoyed the work. When I felt ready for a new challenge I decided to seek a career in project management within a different industry. Since joining Entec Si in July 2016 in a Project Support role, I have worked on many exciting programmes and projects. I can safely say that it was the best career move I have made. I hope to progress my career into a Project Manager role with Entec Si and build upon the skills I have already gained.

I have a strong background in recruitment and resource management, with a passion and reputation for delivering excellence and exceeding expectations. My experience within a large corporate organisation, along with my last role with a change and transformation management consultancy provide a unique blend of skills and understanding, perfectly suited to my role at Entec Si.
I am genuine and authentic, a real people person with the ability to engage at all levels and build long-term relationships. At my core are an intrinsic set of values, these are important to me and how I behave both in my personal and work environment. Being true to who you are and engaging with those of similar value sets is my fundamental to me.
I currently manage resources at Entec Si and we have a really exciting growth strategy over the next few years, with plans to grow our delivery teams and an ambitious portfolio of programmes whilst ensuring our team values and #entecfamily model remains intact.
I am keen to broaden my network of like-minded individuals so please do not hesitate to get in touch.

My move into the world of projects began when I arrived in the UK in 2005. Coming from a career in teaching I brought with me many of the skills I see as essential for a project environment: organisation, flexibility, the ability to plan ahead but to know that plans can and do change rapidly, communications skills and a good sense of humour! I have worked on several award-winning projects and programmes and I strongly believe that the most successful projects are the result of having a great team behind them. One of my strengths is my ability to contribute where there is the greatest need and as a result I have experience in many areas of the project environment including support, programme office management, project management and communications lead.

After graduating from Loughborough University, I followed a career in teaching. After being a primary school teacher and P.E. Coordinator for seven years, I decided I was ready for a new challenge. Aware that organisation and communication are major strengths of mine, I decided to change career to one in project management and enjoyed studying for and completing the Prince 2 Practitioner qualification. Entec Si offered me the chance to work for them in a Business Support role in September 2017. I was keen to work for a company who are known for getting the job done and who share my core values. I am pleased to have been given a Business Support role so I can familiarise myself with company processes before gaining exposure to projects. I am looking forward to working for Entec Si and helping clients and colleagues within my role.

Following the completion of my degree in Economics and Management I worked in the Finance sector in a number of roles with compliance at their core. Through the experience I gained dealing with different situations I advanced myself to a Team Manager role which enabled me to develop my management skills and broaden my experience. During my time in management it became apparent that a career in Project Management was one which I wanted to pursue, in line with my previous experiences and qualifications. I joined Entec Si in January 2018 and I am looking forward to developing myself within the company and learning new skills to assist me in furthering my career.

Fresh out of Birmingham City University with a degree in English and Creative Writing, I finished my role in retail and was ready to pursue a new adventure. I joined Entec Si in 2018 as Communications Support and hope to apply the knowledge I have gained from university within this role. What captured my attention about Entec Si, was the dedication to their values. Going into the world of work can be a daunting experience, especially if you have always been a student, but the devotion Entec Si showed to, not only their values, but their work and everyone within the company, encouraged me to pursue the role. I am looking forward to gaining invaluable experience with Entec Si.

My career in Project Management started whilst I was working for one of the nation’s leading housebuilders. Whilst working as an IT PMO Analyst, it quickly became evident that my skills were highly transferrable into the world of Project Management – thereafter I started to get stuck in with managing various software projects. During 2017, I completed my PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification which aided me in continuous improvement of the Project Management Framework. Consistent engagement, open and honest two-way communication and collaborative working are key fundamentals in building long-lasting relationships and providing an exceptional project experience. I am excited to be part of Entec Si, helping clients, improving on my skills and progressing with my role as Project Manager. I love the chemistry the company gives and I already feel like part of the family!

After completing a master’s degree in International Business, I started my career in Cash Management as a graduate and developed my skills as a Business Improvement analyst, working on exciting internal and industry changing projects.
I continued with Financial Services, moving to London for a year and transitioned into Strategy and Process Consulting for capital market clients. This was great experience, being able to utilise all I had learnt as a graduate to grow and develop further.
After leaving London with 5 years of private sector experience, I discovered Entec Si and knew right away it was the company for me. Largely dealing with public sector clients was refreshing and very impactful but working within a team with a great family culture is what cemented it for me.
I am passionate about working with people and being creative to solve their most difficult challenges. With my background is Business Process Improvement, I am determined to support my clients to improve efficiencies, continuously improve and achieve their goals.
In all, Entec Si already feels like home, allowing me to bring past experiences and future opportunities together whilst working within a great team that delivers impactful change alongside its clients.

I have a very different background to the industry I am in now. I worked in Media for the last 7 years and the last 3 years working within Projects. This is what gave me the love for working on Projects, watching and helping the process of making something from scratch. I realised that it was Projects that I loved working in more than Media so I wanted to something that was more concentrated. When I found the job with Entec Si, I knew this was a company I wanted to be apart of as they have great chemistry within the company and the values stood for everything that match my own in life. Joining Entec Si has been everything I hoped for and more.

The permeation of company values throughout Entec Si, alongside a varied and challenging scope of work was a major attraction for me when making the decision to join as a Project Coordinator. I’ve previously worked within the Built Environment sector where I acted on behalf of some of the the UK’s foremost developers on land projects from conception through to disposal. Having the skills and the mindset to keep multi-disciplinary consultancy teams on track breeds happy clients, and I look forward to applying my experiences through support of the Project Management team at Entec Si.

Beginning my Entec Si career in January 2020, I bring with me experience in change facilitation and continuous improvement. Following my Psychology degree (2017), I delivered excellent customer service in cross-functional teams within the Energy Industry, before expanding my skill set with management opportunities. My love of projects formed in my next role; I successfully facilitated end-to-end change and embedded a culture of continuous improvement, delivering financial benefit and improving team performance. I became qualified in Lean Competency Systems and relished when training and coaching others in this framework. I enthusiastically build strong professional relationships and pride myself on my strong attention to detail and ability to “be like water”; flexing my skills and experiences to the context as necessary, whilst feeding my intense desire to learn and grow.

Specialising in the Events industry and graduating with a degree in Event Management has provided me with many transferable skills. From building long term client relationships and showcasing my creativity in particular events, it became apparent that my passion for networking and involvement for projects from start to finish can be used in a different sector.
Joining Entec Si has allowed me advance to my next challenge through the applicable experience I have gained. The culture and values of Entec Si is what stood out to me the most, not only being attentive to the client’s needs but also encouraging goals as an individual. I look forward to learning and developing my skills in order to drive my career.

At first glance it is perhaps not necessarily an obvious career progression to go from ‘psychology undergraduate’ to ‘digital strategist’ stopping off as a ‘TV producer’ on the way. The progression I made from TV to digital mirrored what was happening in the television industry at the time, with new technologies came new audiences, who were eager to consume content in a different way. Over the last ten years I have supported many large and small organisations develop digital platforms, define content strategies to enable a successful online offer and guide organisations through the cultural change that comes when adopting digital. When people ask me what I do for a living, I reply ‘I make digital easy!’

With nearly 30 years’ experience in the infrastructure and networking marketplace, I have developed a solid technical background covering all disciplines relevant to my specialist field of communication infrastructures and technologies for the built environment. Coming from an engineering and pre-sales background, I cross trained as a PRINCE2 Practitioner. This helped me develop my understanding of clients’ business drivers and facilitated more strategic planning, allowing a more rounded view of technology projects. Wherever possible, I favour a hands-on and practical approach to project delivery. You can’t lead a team from the rear!
