My role

I ensure every aspect of a project aligns seamlessly with the strategic vision. I thrive on tackling challenges head-on, collaborating with others to turn ideas into impactful results, and delivering efficiently within tight budgets and time frames.

Since every project is unique, I approach each one with an open mind, always looking for innovative solutions to complex problems.

Skills and experience

After completing my degree in psychology, my career began in the energy industry, where I became an operational excellence coach. I helped teams optimise business processes and increase efficiencies by providing Lean Competency Systems training and Agile tools.

I have over five years’ experience as a project manager and consultant at Entec Si. Using my experience, I mentor and support others in their professional growth and personal journeys.

Career highlights

In 2024, I was honoured to receive the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year award for Digital, Technology and Innovation, which was a huge highlight in my career so far.

Another unforgettable highlight was travelling for a client’s filming project, working in Texas and Florida. This experience was invaluable to me, both from a professional and personal perspective.

What characteristics do you think make you good at your role?

I’m inquisitive both inside and outside of work, which keeps me striving to learn and helps me evolve and grow my knowledge. I’m naturally really organised, so I excel at managing projects and programmes, and love creating structures that feel intuitive and effective. As a people person at heart, I genuinely enjoy building strong, positive relationships with colleagues and clients.

What I love
about my job

I love that every project is a new adventure. No two projects are ever the same, and each brings fresh challenges to tackle creatively. I also enjoy helping clients to achieve their outcomes, upskill their teams and reap the benefits of what we do at Entec Si. On top of that, I’m incredibly grateful for the flexibility of working from home, and for the opportunity to work with such amazing people.

How do you relax away from work?

Outside of work, life is busy, yet wonderfully fulfilling. When I’m not travelling or camping in the van with my partner, or paddleboarding with my step-kids, I’ll be creating a cosy, ambient vibe; either in the garden amongst the fruits and flowers or curled up with a good book, the cats, and a cuppa. I also love tuning into audiobooks and podcasts while walking my gorgeous Frenchie called Honey.

What words of wisdom would you give your younger self?

Don’t worry what anyone else thinks, or how you might look doing the things you want to do – no one cares! Just be your authentic, inquisitive, excited, loving self, follow what makes you happy, and be brave enough to try the things that scare you – it’ll get you where you need to be!

Pet hate

Loud chewing…!! I try my best not to notice, but it actually unsettles my soul, and I can’t focus on anything else!

Alan Watts: I’d relish a deep conversation about Eastern philosophy. I’d be taking notes!
Adam Sandler: to bring the levity, I’d love to hear about his experiences, but also he seems like a nice guy
Audrey Hepburn: from a time long gone, I’d love to hear her views on things from then and now
Louis Theroux: he has so many stories and I feel like he’d coax some juicy information out of everyone
Stevie Nicks: what a star! I’m a spooky soul at heart and she gives me all the autumn vibes with her ‘witchy woman’ persona

If you had to take one book, one film and one album on a desert island, what would they be?

Book: Assuming I’d be alone, I would definitely need a survival guide!! Preferably one which tells me how to live from just the vegetation and build a decent shelter
Film: Moana for inspiration in getting off the island
Album: Can I take my ‘Coastal Cowgirl’ Spotify playlist?

One thing no one would know about you

I have a deep connection to my Singaporean heritage. My nan was born and raised in Singapore, and her stories, traditions and love of food have shaped so much of who I am. I love the vibrant hawker flavours, the gorgeous ornate décor, the philosophy and culture. I actually redesigned my workspace (where I spend a lot of time) to reflect that oriental beauty and the heritage I’m proud to carry forward.

Last supper choice

My nan’s recipe: stir fry rice, chicken curry and special greens!!

Previous Experience

Apr 2025 – present

I am part of the GBCC Future Faces Mentoring Working Group, helping direct the mentoring scheme and matching mentees to mentors.

Sep 2024 – Aug 2025

Flying overseas to work as part of a film crew in the USA. This involved coordinating logistics to ensure smooth running for the crew during filming, which required quick, on your feet thinking to operate effectively within tight timeframes.

Winning the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year award in Digital, Technology and Innovation.

Feb 2023 – Jan 2024

Delivered three major ICT, digital, and data transformation projects, including Azure Cloud migration, telephony upgrades, and infrastructure security remediation, ensuring seamless change management and policy alignment.

Apr 2022 – Apr 2023

Streamlined council applications under the Cloud First strategy, modernising operations, reducing silos, boosting efficiency, and lowering carbon footprint for a more agile, sustainable ICT model.
